When I wrote the lyrics for this song I broke the verses down to three different people and their experiences, all ones they couldn't control. Dealing with past anger, struggles with the law, things they did but can't remember, etc. This song is about people being stuck in a rut and self-destructive but can't find a way to get out of it.
